The World's Least Interesting Conspiracy Theory just got more interesting as new evidence emerged about Pfizer's mysterious shutdown of its vax clinical trial until the day after the 2020 election.
"It’s a little hard to tell the significance of the difference between They put the trial on ice to sabotage Trump and They put the trial on ice to not anger Democrats."
I can think of one possibly significant difference.
"Sabotage Trump" could be a decision they made based on their own political views. Trump might be mad and want to retaliate if he lost but the entire history of his first term indicated he had little to no control over the SES-level bureaucrats actually making decisions, and he'd only be in office for about 3 more months. It would have taken a pretty wild imagination to think he'd pull a Grover Cleveland in 2024, after he drew an inside straight to be elected in 2016, and the GOP certainly would want to put him well in the rearview mirror if they returned to Congressional leadership.
"Not anger Democrats" sounds like somebody in the Deep State in general or the FDA in particular told them to not release the results in October 2020, in contradiction to the anti-vax claims of various Democrats, if they knew what was good for the reviews of any other drugs they had in the FDA pipeline (or their tax returns, or the complaints the SEC or DOJ might get, or ..)
I'm not sure what calendar Bourla and his crew were looking at but mine has always said October is the month before November, and I've known the Presidential election in 2020 was going to happen on November 3rd for as long as I've been aware of elections. Nobody at Pfizer put those two facts together before Bourla began insisting the results would come out in October 2020? Or did somebody outside the company helpfully point out they might be making a politically significant announcement a few days before the election?
You don't want to anger the Democrats. During the last ten yen years, the Democrats were in a much better position to wreak vengeance than were the Republicans. They have their army of Soros-funded DAs, partisan judges, ultra-partisan districts in which to try lawfare cases, a politicized DOJ, powerful activists like Norm Eisen, Marc Elias, Andrew Weissberg, etc, who don't hold naive notions of fair play, and of course the Democrat-aligned media to back them up.
Imagine being one of these guys and having a skeleton gnaw at the back of your mind for 4 years. I wonder if a part of him will be glad to have it all over and done with, whether he's punished or not.
Steve, do you think the fact that you highlighted their malfeasance caused the house judiciary to look into it? I would think that’s possible. You have a pretty broad reach now.
Vaccine release in the US has been quite chaotic. If they did it strictly on age like in Israel or Germany skipping over people like AOC, probably. Besides, older people vote preferentially R, so if Donald had won, there would have been greater enthusiasm amongst the old dears to get vaccinated. So lose-lose the way it happened in real life.
This whole COVID vaccine debacle has exposed so much, but more than anything how little 21st century politicians care about public health and safety when push comes to shove. Politics today, politics tomorrow, always politics.
It's even more venal than that. Maybe 20 out of 535 legislators actually care about policy; the main concern is squatting in your sinecure for as long as possible. Congress no longer governs. I'm being serious when I say democracy has failed at the federal level. Everyone knows it and that's why we have these Titanic fights over the Presidency every four years.
I spent decades in close proximity to CEOs of large companies. It is simply not credible that the trials could be “put on ice” and Bourla kept in the dark, unless he was drugged and locked in a cell. Secretaries; eager underlings seeking to curry favor; sub-contractors assisting with the trials…all of these and more waiting for the critical results…
Most of our electorate will have little difficulty ignoring the efforts of these congressional committees. The outrage sputtered away long ago. Cassie Ventura vs. Jim Jordan?
It was to the best that Trump lost in 2020. His second term would have floundered. He learned a lot in defeat. He was a better candidate in 2024. And his second term is transformational.
I well recall Matthew Herper's shocking StatNews scoop, and Steve Sailer's sensible explanation of what had appeared to have just gone down with Pfizer's trial. Which could only have occurred with the FDA's knowledge. And consent.
I must have raised this topic with over two dozen colleagues and medical professionals. Perhaps one of them knew what I was talking about.

Exactly!

Kudos for once again being ahead of the curve.
Well Done Steve.
Steve, do you think the fact that you highlighted their malfeasance caused the house judiciary to look into it? I would think that’s possible. You have a pretty broad reach now.
Alternatively, if I hadn't brought it up, somebody else would have looked into it earlier?
Good point. Your scenario is more likely.
Some old or sick people must have died of COVID because they couldn't get the vax in time, thanks to their delay.
I love it when TDS and their own paranoia and guilt exposes these people. Then there's Comey.

I’m hoping it’s more than 20.
Very interesting! And now, R-led committees have all the investigative power. Unless Ds manage to bribe some RINOs sitting there...

Yeah, bosses usually get to be bosses because they want to know everything that is going on.

There is zero doubt in my mind that Democrats would have become the anti-vax party if Trump had won in 2020.

In any case, Trump 47 turns out to be way more potent than Trump 46 would have been. The irony of it all!
Yoko Ono did not die in 2020 due to Covid. Did Satan protect her? Or was Covid overstated?

Crazy conspiracy theories.
