He was a good man with a family whose only offense was a willingness to debate and rationally have a discussion with the opposite side. RIP Mr. Kirk

If they will kill Charlie Kirk, leftist activists networks will kill anyone. The rest of the year should be devoted to arresting activists and pressuring elected Dems and their fundraising networks to give up radical members. This cannot be treated like the attempts on Trump's life or it will happen again soon.

The Weimar Republic was doomed to fail. If the Nazis hadn't prevailed the Communists would have. Ideologies with a cigarette paper's thinness between them. This may be the shot that ignites a civil war, but the left is at fault. As it usually is.

This was no angry fetishist in a frock who pulled this off, this was a true pro firing from 200 yards away, my guess Ukrainian or one of Ukraine's ball washers in the Deep State or Europe.

It was 160 yards and my daughters could make that shot from age 11. That’s a very easy close range shot with a scoped rifle.

What is with internet randos saying their preteen daughters could make long range assassinations with rifles? You guys all get the same messaging like news anchors in compilations saying the copy or something? And it's not just making a single shot at a distance, it's getting into position without alerting authorities, getting away scot free as this guy apparently did, so on and so forth which points to something more capable than a 12 year old girl.

It’s just another example of how the left is increasingly comfortable with political violence and thinly veiled calls for it - like globalize the intifada - are a regular part of their messaging. Obviously your normie mother in law who wears RBG sweatshirts and votes for Dems is not the problem and makes up a healthy chunk of the voting base. The activist class is the problem and they have a ton of direct and indirect support from the usual suspect like academia, the media, entertainment, and deranged ex-wives and widows of wealthy men funneled through nonprofits, foundations, and PACs.

IMO, Trump needs to use the full weight of the government to make it difficult for them to operate for everyone’s good - because that’s the moderate option. Unchecked we are headed for much worse than the present moment.

We need to shut down that funding of left wing NGOs who exert an enormous influence far beyond their size and act as a pipeline for radical activists.

The left has always been comfortable with political violence. They basically invented the modern version of it during the Great Terror.

No, we absolutely cannot let it end here. Even a year ago I thought the idea of another civil war was outlandish; now, I’m not so sure.

in the video he had just answered a question about how many trans mass shooters there were with "too many'. The asker followed up with the correct question about how many mass shooters there were overall. Charlie asked if it counted gang shooting (or something similarly not relevant) and then he got shot. Socratic discourse from a dissenter in the audience then bang. That says it all.

It was relevant, Erik. Kirk asked whether it 'counted gang shootings' because gang-related shootings, while not included in FBI stats, are included but in broader definitions used by organizations like the Gun Violence Archive (GVA) to juice up its the-guns-are-causing-mass-shootings argument. If you count gang shootings that include 3 or more people as 'mass shootings' you boost the numbers. By the way, about 5,000 young black males die each year at the hands -- and handguns -- of their demographic colleagues. It's only been going on for about 50 years. https://clips.substack.com/p/who-cares-about-150000-dead-young

We have a Turning Point, USA chapter on our campus, and the faculty advisor happens to be me. I don't actually participate in anything other than signing documents for them, but I'm looking forward to the next few days when my colleagues inform me of how nasty and uncouth it is to be sponsoring such a horrible organization.

I have to admit, I wasn’t a close follower of his, but I knew his work and I knew he was a big deal, especially to young people. My son called me from college to tell me about the shooting and I didn’t even know he knew who Charlie Kirk was.

This whole thing is so so bad. This is a big deal.

The shooter or “person of interest “ is in custody. It will be interesting to see what the shooter’s background is. I remember Steve saying he didn’t want to visit Portland because of Antifa.

If they can get you in Utah they can get you anywhere. RIP, Charlie.
