To promote my anthology Noticing, Passage Press and I are cranking up the book tour again.
I’m going to be in Chicago on Thursday evening, September 26 and Friday, evening September 27. Thursday night will be a dinner for 20 or 30 or 40 or so, while Friday night will be a larger public speaking event. (On the spring tour, we had 75 in Los Angeles, 150 in Austin, and 200+ in New York).
The small dinner is $300 per ticket (the food has been excellent at the four dinners so far), while the larger speaking event is $50.
I’ll sign any copies of Noticing you bring.
Or you can buy a ticket that entitles you to a signed paperback at the second evening for the discounted price of $25 (list price is $30).
You can buy a dinner ticket for $675 that adds in one of the few remaining leatherbound hard covers for $375 (down from $395 list price.)
When and where? The way it works is we tell you the date and general place (around the River North neighborhood just north of the Loop), and then, after you’ve paid for your ticket, you get notified of the exact address.
Later stops this fall will likely include western Florida, a major Eastern metropolis, and the San Francisco Bay Area. Just as the spring tour had nice weather, these tend to be good seasons to visit these places.
Hope to see you at one of them!
Given that Washington DC had your highest concentration of readers, with Virginia and Maryland close behind (presumably heavily skewed towards the Washington suburbs), I think DC should be a high priority!
I'm in. Next talk is golf. September is best golf in midwest.
