My Annual Fundraising Drive
A message to my most generous patrons.
I’m starting my first fundraising drive since April 2024 today on Giving Tuesday, December 2, 2025.
I used to hold fundraisers every April, August, and December. But for the last 19 months I’ve concentrated instead on signing up paid subscribers for my Substack at SteveSailer.Net and selling my book Noticing (which is on sale through Friday, December 5 for $22.50, with free domestic shipping by using the discount code “Wilson”).
However, in the 25 years that I’ve been writing for a living full-time, I have discovered, to my surprise and gratitude, that some of my readers are highly generous in supporting my work beyond whatever minimum I request. So, to make it easy for them, from now on, every December I’m going to hold one fundraising drive per year. Hence, in case you feel like contributing even more than the cost of your Substack subscription, here are ways to donate to me.
Please note that I really like getting money. It cheers me up no end and encourages me to keep going. So thanks in advance.
Here are ten magnanimous ways for you to help me carry on:

First: Most banks now allow fee-free money transfers via Zelle.
Zelle is a really good system: easy to use, instantaneous, and fees are nonexistent.
For example, if you have a Wells Fargo bank account, you can transfer money to me via Wells Fargo Zelle. Just tell WF Zelle to send the money to my ancient AOL email address at steveslr@aol.com.
Please note, there is no 2.9% (or, lately, higher) fee like with Paypal, Stripe, or Google Wallet, so this is good for large contributions.
You can set up Zelle for monthly or annual contributions.
Second: if you have a Chase bank account (or even other bank accounts), you can transfer money to me (with no fees) via Chase Zelle ( FAQ). Just tell Chase Zelle to send the money to my ancient AOL email address (steveslr@aol.com).
(To digress, I was talking to a screenwriter last year who asked for my email address. When I gave him my AOL address, he said the only other two people he knows who still have AOL emails are Rupert Murdoch and Brad Pitt.)
If Chase asks for the name on my account, it’s Steven Sailer with an n at the end of Steven. (If Steven Sailer doesn’t work, try StevenSailer.)
Third: Zelle works with many other banks too. Here’s a Zelle link for CitiBank. And Bank of America. By now, most other banks likely use Zelle.
In summary, Zelle is good.
Fourth: You can use Paypal by going to the page on my old blog here. Paypal accepts most credit cards. Contributions can be either one-time only, monthly, or annual. (Monthly is nice.) Paypal is great … but, unlike Zelle, the fee is now 3.49% plus $0.49 per transaction.
Fifth: You can mail a donation to:

Sixth: Stripe:

Or scan this QR:
Stripe accepts payments by credit card, cryptocurrency, bank transfer, Amazon Pay, and Link.
Seventh: send money via the Paypal-like Google Wallet to my Gmail address (that’s isteveslr@gmail.com).
Eighth: I added Square [which is now owned by Block] as a fundraising medium, although I’m vague on how it works. If you want to use Square, send me an email telling me how much to send you an invoice for. Or, if you know an easier way for us to use Square, please let me know.
Ninth: Venmo:

Tenth: If you already are a paid subscriber to my Substack, you can upgrade to being a Patron founding subscriber for $300 per year.
The above donations to me are not tax deductible, BUT:
Eleventh:
FWIW your donors can still get a tax deduction via VDARE, but it will have to be by check because Stripe cut us off last year.

I'd love to contribute. I really would. But have you seen the price of ammunition these days?
