Why did it take me 11.5 years on Twitter to get to 40,000 followers, but only 2.6 years to get to 150,000?

E. H. Hail (of Hail to You website) has kindly calculated my Twitter/X history. For some reason, X doesn’t make it easy to see analytics going back more than one year.
