The New Europe
As a tourist in central Europe, I've been focused on the Old Europe, but I finally did learn one thing about migrants.
I’m not a exactly a sophisticated traveler, so I’ve mostly been doing basic touristy things in central Europe, a place I’ve never been to before. Thus, I’ve been going to a beer hall in Berlin, gaping at the ancient animatronic clock in Prague, dining at a wiener schnitzel restaurant tracing back to 1805 in Vienna, having a beer in the snack bar in the Gloriette triumphal arch (above) overlooking the Hapsburg’s Schönbrunn summer palace, that kind of thing.
But because I’ve been focused on finally getting to know a tiny bit about the old indigenous cultures, I haven’t found out too much firsthand about the New Europe that is so much in the news.
