Sad that Ross Douthat wrote more about Charlie triggering his teenage wingnut-nerdlinger insecurities than the man himself.

I thought it was fine; Ross is a columnist rather than a straight news reporter and I'm sure he saw a little — or perhaps a lot — of himself in Charlie

The bow tie thing was the tipoff. He identifies with what he thinks are right-wing dweebs…which I am sad to say appears to mean George F. Will and Tucker Carlson.

I think that Democrats, as a demonstration of their commitment to free speech and to put their money where their mouths are with respect to condemning violence against those they disagree with, should start platforming the likes of Steve Sailer, Jared Taylor, Ron Unz, etc. Let them speak freely on CNN, NPR, PBS, MSNBC; make YouTubers and podcasters and such feel comfortable hosting them without fear of debanking or boycotts or whatever; etc.

Until they start recognizing and accepting these personae non gratae as civilized and intelligent men with differing opinions rather than Literally Hitlers Most Evil Men In The World, they're still guilty of encouraging, however subtly or not-so-subtly, this ongoing violence against dissident voices.

In 2019, the groypers organized themselves around challenging him.

Only a few years later, at least ideologically, he wound up being a better groyper than the original groypers, who by then chucked what they started being for the sake of the Nick cult.

From the New York Yankees...

Before tonight's game we held a moment of silence in memoriam of Charlie Kirk.

Kirk founded the youth activist group “Turning Point USA” and had become a fixture on college campuses. Charlie Kirk, a husband and father of two children, was 31 years old.

As an aside, the president will be attending tonight's game as it's the 24th anniversary of 9/11

As usual https://www.informationliberation.com/ has the nuanced view when others are shilling.

"Charlie was a really good guy."

LOL Hilarious, trying to capitalize on the current media attention. Charlie Kirk favored mass immigration of non-Whites. Oops, not gonna mention that, are you, Stevie?

Charlie-boy said "let's staple a Green Card to their diploma!" about non-Whites who are allowed into U.S. universities. His Toilet Paper USA was always a false front designed to appeal to the cuckservative fake-right. If actual nationalists showed up to a meeting and opposed immigration, it angered Charlie-boy.

According to the anti-White Charlie "the U.S. is an idea!" about individualism, i.e. free trade and open borders, and if you wash up on a shore and have the "idea" of America, "then that place is America," not the actual America built by Whites if they don't have the same "idea."

But let's not mention this, now that there is media attention!

Traitors like Charlie are why Whites like Ira Zarutska are murdered.

Charlie like other opportunists pretended to be against mass immigration at least somewhat, because attitudes among Republican voters changed, but he still made sure to attack "RACISTS!!!", i.e. people who risked their careers to oppose the attack on Whites when Charlie wouldn't.

Oh, but he was always a supporter of nationalism for Jews. He supported those who stepped into Palestinian people's homes and stole them: the home, the garden, the furniture, everything.

If you don't know that this was happening and then talk about it, then your opinion is worthless.

Jews stole Palestinian homes and murdered Palestinians every single year, including shooting journalists and nurses, and Charlie-boy supported them, as Jews dominate U.S. media and Charlie-boy wanted money above all. Charlie supported the Gaza Holocaust, with Jewish fanatics in the Izzy government talking openly about ethnic cleansing of Gaza and the West Bank (umm, wasn't it supposed to be about "fighting Hamas"?) on behalf of their own race.

Does Stevie support the rape and murder of innocent people? If yes, then blubbering out tears over an accomplice makes sense. If not, then maybe Stevie should actually tell the truth about the psychopath. At least SOMEWHERE in this pathetic "article" that seeks to capitalize on the current media attention.

Then again, Stevie pretends that Hollywood switching to TV shows focusing on cities was because Jews were somehow the majority of TV viewers in the cities. Which he knows is an obvious lie. The Jew Fred Silverman, director of programming at CBS, led what was called "the Rural Purge" of overwhelmingly popular countryside shows, replacing them with shows focused on the cities.

So Steve's recent article about that shift was a lie, he is exposed. Gotta get that donor money. Don't expect Steve to tell the truth about other shills who want donor money, like the pro-immigration Charlie Kirk.

The longer the assassin is uncaptured, the more inclined I am to wonder if this was not a left-wing killer, but a professional of some sort. But who knows?

Wouldn't a pro take the head shot instead of going for the neck? I'm wondering if the shooter actually missed his (head)shot due to overcompensating for the downward angle from the top of the 3-story building to Charlie Kirk's location at ground level, actually somewhat below ground level in a sunken amphitheater.

Expand full comment
Waylon S Kohler's avatar

Yeah, you’re probably right. I don’t know what factors could be involved. What if the shooter was unfamiliar with the particular weapon or someone else zeroed it in, or just a random variable was present? There’s a lot of talk about this being a leftist attack, and maybe that’s the safest bet, but you never know. It could’ve been someone on the right upset with his support of Israel. Kirk also questioned the Israeli response to October 7. I just try not to take anything at face value anymore.

For certain. 200 yds w/a site no doubt would be aiming squarely at the head.

He may have been aiming for the head.A couple of minutes down is still fatal. 30 ft and 160 yds elevation is not really an issue.

A pro would have hit the head if that's what he was aiming for, especially at that distance.

Heads are tricky. Like Trump, one gesture and a single MOA is a miss. That's why pistols are fired at the torso and hunters aim for that cluster of crucial vessels and cardiovascular organs in the thorax. Then you've got a 6+ MOA circle to get the yips in and it's still fatal.

Expand full comment
Slaw's avatar

Pros aren't supposed to get the yips. If you have even basic competence, a headshot with iron sights from a bench rest is easily doable for short distances, like less than 200 yards. I don't shoot a lot of rifle, and that's something that I can easily accomplish with my semi-automatic .308. I assume a bolt 30-06 would be even more accurate.

As for pistol shooting, my dot's 2.5 MOA, and the courses I shoot have Mozambique drills all the time. Cops are trained to shoot center mass, but there's more training out there than the variety that the police utilize.

The Anti-Gnostic's avatar

I agree, a bolt action with a scope at that distance is driving tacks. I'd still give myself room for error.

Anyway, we already know how this turned out. A a guy with a decent baseline of smarts watched some videos and practiced at the range. He probably put his crosshairs on Kirk's face and ended up a couple of minutes down. No matter; he was dead when he hit the floor.

Boy, that sure kinda fits like a piece in a jigsaw puzzle.

Snag dad's old hunting rifle from the lock-up in the basement (my dad owned the same WWII-vintage .30-06 Mauser action deer rifle sold mail order at the time), toss on the fat pants, (damn, can't wear slims!), chucks, and an ironic tee, then tool off to the festivities, limping with the gun down one leg.

Find easy access to a nearby rooftop (two Campus Clowns for crowd of 3,000!), target the victim high center-mass, and get "lucky" when the (soft-point?) bullet shatters on a vest plate and a fragment takes a sharp angle upwards and severs an artery, proving fatal. In other words, a half-assed operation from start to finish with results we'll all be living with from now on. What a world!

Guardian 37 minutes ago:

"The FBI and Utah Department of Public Safety (DPS) were due to hold a press conference in less than an hour to provide updates on their investigation into the shooting of conservative activist and Trump ally Charlie Kirk – including the identity and location of his killer.

A spokesperson for DPS says they are now suspending the press conference due to the ‘rapid developments’ in the case. An updated time will be announced later today. "

I guarantee this was a right wing extremist upset that Mr. Kirk was not going far enough. Or the motivation was to drive americans even further apart (sadly this is working).

What happened to Mr. Kirk is a horrible tragedy. He was a family man with two small children. The right needs to cease it's constant vitriol and do all it can to stop inspiring other such incidents.

There is a reason that almost no liberals commit violence.
