After whom did they name it?
When you think to yourself that nothing ever gets better in this world, note that in 2017 they probably would have named it the Wendy Carlos Performing Arts Center, in 2019 the Susan Sontag Performing Arts Center, or in 2021 the Tupac Shakur Performing Arts Center.
But, in 2026, strikingly enough, there was no controversy about naming it after the white man who happens to be the school’s greatest alumnus, a Class of 1950 kid who at age 94 was still spry enough to show up to accept the honor today.
Who is this perfect choice for whom they named the new Performing Arts Center?
