We also need to update the Emma Lazarus poem...hold on to your tired, your poor...

When I'm President my first official act will be firing a TOW missile into that plaque.

Truly we as a nation must disavow that awful poem.

Great idea. The Statute of Limitations could be built on the West coast.

Alcatraz Island could be the Ellis island equivalent of the Liberty Statue but for mass immigration.

It could house the worst illegal alien criminals. More reverse symbolism.

(Full disclosure: I’m an immigrant. If it makes this a ladder puller, so be it.)

Is she facing Oakland?

Yes, she has got Californication. Signaling , you can’t leave.

The statue is not the problem, and has nothing directly to do with immigration

The problem is the poem, the one threatening us with enrichment by teeming wretches. “The New Colossus” is The Iron Law Of The Land, a law that was never enacted, and thus can never be repealed

If you're looking for a poem to put on it instead of Emma Lazarus's, Thomas Bailey Aldrich's "Unguarded Gates" would be quite perfect.

Are those really the kind of buildings that stand on the banks of the Golden Gate Strait or was that ChatGPT artistic license?

Oh, THAT'S Alcatraz! Who knew it would be so verdant and the buildings so italianate? Almost looks better than where I live.

Google it. It looks like a prison. Richard Morris Hunt's pedestal for Liberty is another story.

I was hoping we'd be getting lots of rich or productive Europeans fleeing Islam by now, but they seem to be raising the water temp. too slowly. The poor get it, despite so many voting for the fools who opened the gates.

A new avenue for Steve Sailer's career: political cartooning.

That's a lovely statue. I'd like to place one on the Rio Grande.

I just realized it's similar to the two giant stone figures on the river in LOTR. I guess they were telling visitors the same thing.
