What's the Opposite of Autism?
Are there happy crazy people?
A tweet garnered a wide range of responses, pro and con:
is there something like the opposite of autism where you're exceptionally skilled at reading people and love being around them, and instead of perceiving the world through categories you see it all as divinely connected and full of signs everywhere
Various people announced this was bigoted against autism. Other people said it was autism.
Then various people said it was schizophrenia.
One theory is that artists tend to have more relatives who suffer from schizophrenia. But I haven't seen all that many persuasive examples of this, so I dunno.
The first part of your description would apply to some great politicians like FDR and Bill Clinton; although not to all great politicians: Reagan paid more attention to ideas than to individuals, while Teddy Roosevelt, Churchill, and Trump are more Main Characters.
What about happy crazy people like William Blake?
