Just W. D. Hamilton and Musk make for an impressive list given the limited number--a few tens of millions--of Euro-whites born in Africa.
BTW, looking up Hamilton's bio, this is a reminder of how genetics is supposed to work:
> Hamilton was born in 1936 in Cairo, Egypt, the second of seven children.[4] His parents were from New Zealand; his father A.M. Hamilton was an engineer, and his mother Bettina Matraves Hamilton (nee Collier) was a physician.[4] Two sisters qualified in medicine: Mary Bliss, who developed the alternating pressure mattress for the prevention of bedsores, and Janet who became a general practitioner. Another sister Margaret became a pasture scientist and brother an engineer.[4] <
Eugenic fertility. How many intelligent educated women have seven kids anymore? Heck, how many even get to three?
Imagine what the West could be like if we had stuck with eugenics, with common sense about race and sex, with pride in the Western heritage and the propagation of the our nation and civilization, and held off the parasites pushing their toxic minoritarian glop?
I'm disappointed Steve didn't use my earlier suggestion of Zanzibari Farrokh Bulsara in his montage.
As an aside, I didn't realize that Ghana was once formally named Gold Coast. By happenstance, we played Ghana in three consecutive World Cups (2006-14) going 1-2, which each match having a final score of 2-1. Cliff Clavin would point out that when they played, only one country had English as its official language
My Aunt and Uncle bought Gary Player's old place in SA, back in those days you took possession of the landline, so they had a load of stars phoning their new home.
The one I recall was getting the opportunity to chat with Lee Trevino as they dug out the new number for GP.
According to Grok, the most famous American born in North Africa is Eldridge Cleaver. This didn't sound right, so I went to Wikipedia which said he was born in Arkansas 🙄
A friend of mine from high school was born in Guyana and he and his brother have names that you would immediately peg as English (think Alasdair and Gareth). Nevertheless being born in South America he checked the Hispanic box on his college applications, which is how he was able to get into a Big Ten school in spite of his triple-digit SAT score. He ended up majoring in accounting and is currently fairly high up in a Big 4 firm as he was always good with numbers
Zohran probably thinks that if his parents had wised up and gotten out of Africa sooner, he’d be running for president like Ramyswamy, therefore he's entitled to claim to be black.
The Ugandan Asians were the mercantile elite of Uganda, and were expelled by Idi Amin in 1972. Many of them had the right to settle in Britain, and did so. They have often been very successful. Although they suffered the hardship of deportation and loss of wealth, they were never the underperforming minority for which Affirmative Action was intended.
When 50,000 migrated to Britain in 1972, it was controversial and highly newsworthy, because the number was considered to be so large. Nowadays we get that many immigrants _every month_, and unfortunately they are seldom such high achievers as the Ugandan Asians.
One interesting thing about this Mamdani thing is that he's a potential bellwether for Indians. During the Great Awokening from 2020 to 2024, Indians didn't get too involved. Indians in America have always been primarily concerned with money, basically, and never really had a big "Hate Whitey" thing. Even when white people hated on Indians in Canada or whatever the Indians mostly ignored it. But it'll be interesting to see if Indians start hating white men en masse in the future. When white women and black people hate white guys it's kind of expected, and you can usually chalk it up to jealousy or bitterness. But if Indians started doing it then I'd see it as them going in for the kill.
I know this is now what the article is about, but "percent of Neanderthal ancestry" gets to one of my pet peeves.
Some university professor says modern humans share 2% of their DNA with Neanderthal people, so leftist journalists report that early homo sapiens must have interbred with Neanderthals. How much DNA do modern people share with quail or blue catfish? Not saying.
But there's more.
University of Notre Dame Amboseli Baboon Research Project said on 27 Apr 2025 that "Baboons are close evolutionary relatives to humans, and on average, baboons and humans have a genetic similarity of 94%." https://amboselibaboons.nd.edu/about-baboons/
Let's just suppose that there is a thread of evolutionary development from the first life form with DNA to the current life forms with DNA, thus avoiding some of the issues about defining "life". So how much DNA would they all share? How much shared DNA constitutes evidence of interbreeding as opposed to just being in an evolutionary chain?
This is what happens when someone has a missing concept. In your case the concept is called ‘intromission’. The hypothesis is not based on similarity, but on intromission: Neanderthal genes from after their most recent common ancestor with sapiens sapiens have been found in some modern populations. No one has gene intromission from baboons.
You forgot Ian Smith
What about Elon Musk?
Do better, don't just look at the pictures buddy!

Dawkins and Tolkien may be Africans, but they sure as hell aren’t Americans. So either I don’t understand this post or I have missed some irony.
or you're a dipshit
That comment says quite a lot about you. I had hoped that Steve’s old encrustations wouldn’t follow him from Unz.
#yawn
Yes, it's a poorly written post that could have made a more interesting point.

"Zohran Mamdani’s logic for why he deserved affirmative action on his college applications..."
Zohran deserves affirmative action as much as anybody does! Which is to say, not at all.

I thought the history was the Brits brought them from India to help develop the country because the natives were hopeless. Same in Kenya.
Those folks have very complex backgrounds.
What, no Roger Whittaker?
Since Mamdani also got a degree in African studies and dabbled in hip hop... is it safe to say he may be a Rachel Dolezal on the down low?

Mamdani definitely qualifies under “or”

An Arizona State University anthropologist says modern humans interbred with Neanderthals based on 99.5% genetic similarity. https://askananthropologist.asu.edu/neanderthals-and-their-dna
Very detailed article on Neanderthal DNA: https://humanorigins.si.edu/evidence/genetics/ancient-dna-and-neanderthals
Interbreeding is a focus of a PubMed article. https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC9741939/
So with whom were early humans interbreeding? Are baboons almost as sexy as Neanderthals?
Maybe there is too much money spent on university research in all disciplines.
Well, we can't have sexual intercourse with quail or blue catfish (or most kinds of catfish really. None of your business how I know)
