This should be some sort of codicil to Conquest's various laws. Non-profit/NGOs, no matter what their stated purpose, end up being corrupt institutions whose primary purpose is grift meant to enrich only themselves and their clients (e.g. any organization ever created by lefties).

“Every great cause begins as a movement, becomes a business, and eventually degenerates into a racket.” (Not a direct quote, but a paraphrase of Eric Hoffer.)

Jerry Pournelle’s Iron Law of Bureaucracy is also apt: In any bureaucratic organization, there will be two kinds of people: those who work to further the actual goals of the organization and those who work for the organization itself. The second group will always gain control.

This is why one should doubt the devotion of the "hard liners" in Iran. After so many decades I assume the people in charge are less the true believers and more the people who are good at saying what true believers would say and playing the game (which true believers are bad at, always)

Some great writing Steve.

What's also funny is how the ADL, SPLC, NNetwork and who knows who else sued each other for defamation to protect their protectorates of our alleged defamation. I can't even keep track anymore.

But I know who started it. Danny Levitas was the instigator. Research him. He deserves it. Richly.

I was just thinking ADL is probably as much a joke as the SPLC.

AND another way to look at it is that the SPLC was so successful in their stated mission(s) in eradicating racism they had to create racism just to stay relevant and/or they followed the lead of President Hussain Obama in ginning up reluctant Americans to a narrative they are racist. You know "White Guilt".

It looks like the left is circling the wagons around the SPLC and wants to preserve it. Seems like it would make more sense to spin off the money into clean groups and start over without the baggage. What is the attachment the left has to the SPLC when it is obvious even from a cursory review of its history and finances it has always been a scam? Was it just an easy way for the left to compile an enemy's list and use it to persecute people?

America First's avatar

Good point. One things for certain the left will never drop their racial grievance strategies

Gonna spam the entire internet with links to this one. Get ready, Steve!

Nope. That’s just lies.

SPLC funded undercover operatives to expose criminal activities of KKK scum and other white supremacist retards, and destroy them via legal means.

Trump doesn’t like that.

KKK are trump’s people. Pedo trump’s daddy was KKK.

New York Times article from 1927 that reported that Donald Trump’s father, Fred Trump, had been detained at a KKK rally on Memorial Day weekend.

According to the article, “1,000 white-robed Klansmen marched through the Jamaica neighborhood, eventually spurring an all-out brawl in which seven men were arrested.”

Among those arrested, the article identifies a man with the name and address of the home of Trump’s father in Jamaica, Queens.

A report in the Washington Post says, "A contemporaneous article from the Daily Star notes that Trump was detained 'on a charge of refusing to disperse from a parade when ordered to do so.'"

What has Trump's father got to do with this?

Erik's avatar

Nice try, Trump's father.

I tracked the SPLC's misdeeds -- completely openly, always using my real name, for decades. You are 100% wrong.

When I infiltrated groups, I always used my real name. They usually knew I was there watching them, and I always pre-informed the police. If confronted, I left. I've narrowly avoided injury. I always tried to interview them in advance, and, importantly, I offered them the opportunity to respond to my writing. I never incited nor took any leadership role. I never lied or participated in actions, just trainings. I countered their lies. That's just called investigative reporting. I never took a dime from the groups but was paid to write some background and reports.

Here's a very disturbing research piece that relates directly to their actions leading up to the 2020 election. There was an numerical error inserted in editing when first published, but it may have been fixed. Also check out their previous report: https://capitalresearch.org/article/the-trump-effect/

Oh, and regarding you calling me a klansman. I take that type of defamation very seriously and will attempt to identify you to potentially file defamation chares against you. This is my reputation and livelihood. It's time you cowards come out of the woodwork.

I dare you to tell me your name.

Olaf's avatar

Oh grow up you fucking idiot racist KKK supporting fucktard.

Tina Trent's avatar

Ah, so you're part of a political utm campaign who started posting under this name three months ago. That means that noy just you but those running the campaign may be committing defamation.

Hahaaa yeah whatever, you demented shitbird.

You’re still mad you lost to Marc Morris.

Tina Trent's avatar

Lost to someone too much of a wimp to debate? For the House seat he quit a few months into his term because he was only chosen to be a dupe for someone else and didn't know the first thing about what he was getting into? No, I never was mad about that. I don't like electoral politics (I like research and direct service provision) and only entered the race reluctantly upon the request of some very principled people. I also don't like anonymous commenters using this forum attacking my personal life from the shadows. Be a man and say that using your real name, pal.

Either way, USA ended up with a pedophile president and an epstein government because of the Tea Party fucktards like you.

And soon, the consequences of that will destroy the right wing for generations.

I wonder if any enterprising shyster attorneys have thought to start recruiting plaintiffs for libel suits against SPLC for the Hate list

There are lawyers working on it.

To my undying ire, my kind mother was one of the naive dupes that the SPLC ripped off by scaring the crap out of her (she also gave money to some scam Native American "charity").

This is the sane MO as the climate scammers who scare children and older saps by promoting the climate apocalypse which keeps the money rolling in to their institutes.

It is sad that making people scared and miserable is so profitable.

"I notice that among intelligent but naive young people of a scientific bent, there is a recurrent assumption that once the facts get out, then everything will change. If the 1887 Michelson-Morley experiment about the speed of light turns out negative, then the Newtonian model is shattered and eventually there must be a paradigm shift to Einsteinian relativity.

But that’s not the way it works in public affairs, where control of The Megaphone is what matters because most people can’t remember much. You have to repeat the facts over and over and over to have any chance of ever moving the needle."

This is the harshest truth about human nature. It's why priests have to repeat the same message every week at church. Changing the world is not just discovering the truth, it's about making that truth a normal part of people's lives - something they hear constantly repeated.
