A Poll: Evolution of voting among "Big Lebowski" characters
Who would the characters in "The Big Lebowski" have voted for in 1992 vs. 2024? Vote now!
We have lots of demographic data on voting shifts, but little psychological data. So, let's make up our own numbers. You probably know these characters better than you know your own neighbors or second cousins. So, tell us how they would have voted in 1992 versus 2024.
The Coen Bros.’ The Big Lebowski is set in 1990 as President Bush the Elder draws a line in the sand. Who would the characters have voted for in 1992 and in 2024. (I thought about using 1988 vs. 2024, but Bush vs. Dukakis was dull compared to Bush vs. Clinton vs. Perot.)
I feel like there would have been some definite shifts, which may (or may not) say something about the evolution of American voting in real life. But I’ll first see how you vote over the next 24 hours before giving you my theories.
